My Weekly Update
We all encounter delays in many aspects of life. This week this newsletter is delayed by a few days. In reality, it is not since I had made a plan to change the day of sending it a few weeks ago, and to me, it is on time. People who expected it to come on Saturday may think it is delayed. It is the same way in life. We expect certain things at a certain time, and when it does not come or happen, we get discouraged, not knowing how long they will be delayed. God has set a time for everything. It will happen at the right time. Our timing and God’s timing may not match. The ancient Greeks had two words for the concept of time — “Chronos” and “Kairos.” Chronos refers to minutes and seconds. It refers to time as a measurable resource. Kairos means an appointed time, an opportune moment, or a due season. Have courage and faith, our Kairos will come.
Thank you for your continued prayers for my complete recovery. Last week I was impacted by cold and related issues. My medical team suggested I get tested, and I spent 5 hours at Urgent Care to get tested. The website showed wait time is 30 minutes. I did an online check-in and went. When I reached, they said it might be a 2-hour wait. I decided to wait, and it was a long 5-hour wait. I waited a lot last year for many things and at different places, and hence this wait was not difficult for me. The good news is that I had a common virus and nothing serious. You may think, what is the big deal with a cold? It is because I am on some medication that suppresses my immunity. I am still recovering from it. I also had labs last week, and everything looks stable. I have my next series of vaccinations and appointments next week. Keep me in your prayers that my body will respond to it well.
I am also planning a trip to NY to attend my cousin’s wedding the following week. I will be traveling after 2.5 years and the first after my treatment. Request your prayers.
