Hello Everyone,
Sometimes I’m not too fond of all the options presented to me. Too many options confuse me and pressure me to choose the best one. I avoid places where there are too many options to choose from. I know of people who want more options and can spend time choosing. The process of making a decision consumes our energy. Sometimes we spend much time deciding on things that do not matter much. I feel like life can be less complicated if we have fewer choices.
I recently read about a person in the Middle East who was arrested and in jail because he was a follower of Jesus Christ. In jail, he could share the gospel and see many come to faith even though he endured many difficulties.
Once he was out on bail, he was determined to continue his work of sharing the good news he found with more people. He was asked if he was afraid and if he would slow down. He responded that he would not since every time he gets into a difficult situation, it is an opportunity to see God working miracles, and he looks forward to that. As he was expecting more encounters with police, he was asked if he was worried. His response was –
There are two possibilities – they will either kill me, or there will be another miraculous event where God will use me to lead many more to Christ and see the deliverance. Which one of them is bad?
What a perspective from a person who lost everything to follow Jesus Christ. The choices we have to make may be relatively safe and not life-threatening. The question is what will be chosen and which option we think is best.
When we have an eternity perspective embedded deep inside, identifying and picking the right choices will be easy. Otherwise, it will be a struggle between temporary vs. eternal.
Health/Personal Update
Thank you for your continued prayers for my complete recovery. I am doing fine overall, but still on some medications and observation.
Once again, I want to thank everyone who has not given up but continues to pray for me.
